Yes. Your Paperless runs inside an isolated virtual machine with fully encrypted storage. Additionally, every communication with your Paperless is secured with strong SSL encryption.

Paperless-home is a hosting provider for paperless-ngx. With paperless being free and open-source software, you can deploy and host it yourself. But since that can be a technical challenge, our goal is to make paperless accessible to anyone who does not want to bother with running, configuring and maintaining a server, as well as keeping it up-to-date and secure. We do that for you so you can focus on your documents. But if you want to move your documents to another instance of paperless hosted somewhere else, you can easily do so anytime.

Yes. When you cancel your subscription, your Paperless will still be available for the rest of the subscription time.

No. When you upgrade your Paperless, your storage is expanded. And since it is not possible to fit a larger storage into a smaller one, you cannot go back to a smaller plan. If you know that your documents would fit into a smaller plan's storage and you really want to go back, please export everything, cancel your Paperless and import it back into a new Paperless with the desired plan.
